James Rodriguez is out of Zidane’s plans for the future of Real Madrid and wants to part ways with the club in the next transfer window.

Both parties want to move in different directions and, with just one year left in his contract, Los Blancos will need to sell the Colombian star if they wish to get financial compensation for James.

With just 14 games and one goal with Real’s shirt, James Rodriguez is going through a season to forget. Out of Zidane’s options, the player already made clear that wants to leave. After two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, James didn’t perform convincingly. The Bavarians had a €42 million purchase-option for the player but rejected that possibility. The 28-year-old came back to Madrid to spend a painful and, surely, last season with Real Madrid’s shirt. Florentino Pérez will now have to let the player go for almost half the price. The Colombian could leave the club for around €20-€25 million.

Premier League is waiting for James Rodriguez

Numerous clubs from the Premier League are reportedly following James Rodriguez’s scenario. Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United and Wolverhampton have James under the radar and a move can happen in the next transfer window. Ancelotti (Everton) is a confessed admirer of the player while Wolves can benefit from the close relationship with Jorge Mendes, player’s agent.

James earns around €7 million euros per season and will be forced to cut his wages due to financial constraints the clubs are going through with the coronavirus pandemic.
